Right now I have the 16 GB iPad 1st generation. I have heard that it is possible to emulate Windows 95 on it, but I was wondering about Windows 8. I know it hasn't been released yet, but it will support ARM processors. Here are my questions...
1. Is it possible to replace the internal flash storage of either the iPad or the Playbook? I have heard some people say it is smoldered into the board, but I was wondering if it could be taken to a specialist and have a 128 GB compatible chip put in.
2. When the new chip is put in will any OS be located on the storage. I heard that the iPads OS is located in the flash storage so I was wondering if it would be possible to get windows 8 loaded onto that chip,p.
-or
I can just buy the 64 GB version and would it be possible to load the Windows 8 software onto the flash storage and have it dual boot both OSs. I would buy the physical disc and load it on my computer, but would I be possible to SSH it and then use windows 8 in a VHD file to replicate using a disc. I know jail breakers would have to create a workaround for using VHD files, but would this be possible?
The reason why is I have an iPad and it's specs are past the Windows 8 requirements AND I love the look, feel and specs of the Playbook, but don't want to buy it due to the closed OS. If not I could just buy a windows 8 tablet, then use my iPad until it dies, or sell it.
