blackberry phones.................?

I have a blackberry phone curve 8520 that was working fine until automatic shut off and after that I do not have access to my applications every time that I press the menu key nothing appear only the screen i only can make call and text, I when to the company but they don;t know anything they only want to sell me another phone .... I like this phone I do not want to change it.
does anyone have had the same problem.
