pls help.... just got a 8520 (at@t) when i flash it it ask for data plan account, so i follow post 1 method, delete vendor.xml and open loader, after scan... it show about no files found for update

the bb with v4.6.xx i try to flash with 8520wifijEastAsia_PBr5.0.0_rel1096_PL5.2.0.64_A5.0.0.592

i finish install bb8900 8900jAllLang_PBr5.0.0_rel760_PL5.2.0.42_A5.0.0.461_Maxis file, update with desktop manager it says i'm not subscribed to bb service, wen follow the guides here to flash with loader, it went on smoothly but my device is still os 4.6 (not updated to os5.0), not updated at all, it just wipe my device clean. any solution?

when you get not registered then just press not now it will send you the rite field for update also you can download file and save onto desktop then extract and run using apps loader,but remember to delete the vendor app in c drive programme files common,research in motion apps loader. all will be good after that.

if you trying via there site then that is your problem,just download the software from them and install via apps loader.

hi, just do d full erase on mfi loader, then re run the software wth application loader. it works direct.

i had 2 questions, kindly assist :

1. i cant update my bb 8900 firmware. my phone firmware is on tmobile
(shud be from germany cos default language is dutch) - 4.6version, i downloaded 2 firmware :
8900jAllLang_PBr5.0.0_rel760_PL5.2.0.42_A5.0.0.461 _Maxis & 8900AllLang_PBr5[1].0.0_rel1168_PL5.2.0.67_A5.0.0.681,
1st one is Maxis operator cos i live in Msia, the 2nd one was tmobile UK. after installation, i deleted vendor.xml n open loader.exe in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader.

when press next, i can see a box with messenger, press next, a box said no actions are required. i press advanced, saw 2 box but 1 check box was greyed out so i just tick the one. press next, i select do not automatic backup, n press finish. it run for a while n say "Your device's software has been updated successfully.", but i'm still on version 4.6? may i know which step i had left out?

2. i had another bb8900 with trackball not functioning after a while, i took out the mainboard n reassemble, it will be ok but trackball not functioning again after a while. i replaced trackball n trackball sensor board but still same. problem only solved after i replace the motherboard. anyone has some experience on which part i shud troubleshoot on the mainboard? or is it firmware problem?
