What I like about the Pearl:

Bluetooth v2
EDGE
Voice dialing that does not require pre-recording
About the same size as my E398

What I don't like abou the Pearl:
Not compatible with T-Zones

Are there any non-BB phones that have the same feature set? Unlocked is fine.

Samsung D807 should fit those qualifications, although it has nowhere near the capabilities of the Pearl.

Is Voice Signal on most Samsung phones? Does it work well? The reviews on the Pearl seem to indicate the feature is suprisingly good.

Alas, no DUN profile support. I do use my Palm and laptop with my E398 every so often for data access in a pinch, even if it's CID dial-up.

Also, the Dash seems slightly larger than the Pearl which is already slightly larger (at least wider) than my E398. Need something compact, as I keep the phone in my pocket.
