Blackberry Pearl 8100 Questions

Ok i ran into my first hiccup with the 4.5 OS.

First off, i recall that i downloaded the 4.5.0.62 operating system release, but when i installed it and went to my About screen, it shows that i am running
4.5.0.44? What the hell? I downloaded the right file, Blackberry DM shows it as the 062 update, but my BB is reporting it as the 044 update, which i hear many people are having problems with. Again, i am using a Pearl 8100 White/TMo.

Another thing i noticed too is that many people seem to be having a problem with the white balance. Now the camera worked fine since the upgrade, but then the night before last, i was taking a picture inside my apartment and instead of the picture being all washed out and white, the picture was very dark, even under direct light. Even if i point the camera at the light source, everything is dark. Daytime pictures suck almost as bad and i live in Phoenix where the sun shines 290 days out of the year so background light outside is not an issue. Anyone know anything about this. All the camera issues i found are for a too light of a white balance. I am thinking about upgrading to the latest release to see if that will work.

Update: Ok i updated my OS Version to 10.5.0.81 today and everything seems to be working perfect. The auto white balance works perfect and even shows an icon on the camera for what mode your shooting in. Also, i noticed some sound issues on speakerphone during calls and on the multimedia player on the 044 OS which are definitely fixed on the new 081 OS. I am liking it even more. Also, a new feature for the 081 OS is Wireless Upgrade in Advanced Options menu. I am assuming that it allows you to perform system upgrades without a computer. Also, OS boot times are greatly improved over the previous OS versions, including 4.5.044. Again, in the 081 they updated the browser again, it has a Opera Mini feel to it now. Right now my phone is a lot faster than it was on the 044 version, there is virtually no hour glass appearances on the screen when loading applications.

Noticable Upgrades between 4.2 and the new 4.5.0.81:

-New Multimedia Player
-Voice Recording
-Streaming Video Support
-Full Screen Video
-Dictionary Support w/ Predictive word promts
-8GB Memory card support SDHC
-Home Screen Folder Organization
-Expanded Address Book Entries (Birthdays, Anniversaries, User Editable Fields, etc.)
-Media Card Encryption Support
-Voicemail Notification Icon is fixed.

There is some others that i probably havent noticed yet, but as soon as i find them out, i will post them. BTW, this version of the OS is probably more stable than the 4.2.0.107 that comes preloaded on all of the Blackberry Pearl 81xx series from T-Mobile. I dont know how TMo is going to make it any better than it is, but all TMo features work perfectly including MyFavs and t-zones, if anyone even uses t-zones still.

downloading this as we speak

hopefully it doesnt kill my bb

and where exactly are the vendor files i need to delete?
