I have already read so many forums inc this one in regards to my problem below:
I followed the instuction on how to unlock my 8310 using the MFI loader software. I have successfully unlocked the same model before, but this time after u get "1" on the screen i get the screen where i have to type START, which i do but nothing happens. I have even tried doing it by pressing the A button and typing START as well as QTQET and ATAET but its still in CAL mode......
Then i used DM to loads the os but halfway thru when trying to reconnect to JVM is fails.
I have tried us JL_CMDER but i cant seem to connect to the blackberry, just says unable to open port, i even selected the usb pin via DM and tried but i get the same result and then i tried the below command in dos but again it cant connect.
c:\JM\javaloader.exe wipe -f
Please can anyone guide me in the right direction to fix this issue?

I tried everything. Hold A and then go on, But after typing start I receive No Application Link (factory Os) on bb 8100

found the solution for cal mode press sleep, menu, mute, back all at the same time dont release the buttons til it says wiping . this is for storm and bold blackberrys
