blackberry,htc hero, or htc eris?

im just needing some opinions. my samsung touch screen phone stopped working a few days ago. i am one who def uses a cell phone for EVERYTHING. i do not own a camera so i rely on a cell phones camera. the same for mp3 player, i have always relied on a cell phone for that. i do love uploading movies to my cell phones by converting .avi files to whatever file is compatible with the cell phone i own & watch movies on my cell. i txt ALOT. go on facebook ALOT. so i am not wanting to just buy a $40 phone to use. but im also not able to spend alot for a htc evo or droid x,etc. so ive been looking at the earlier models of android due to the fact that ive been told many good things regarding android. i can afford htc hero & htc eris phones. but the reviews ive read online are making me very weary. talks about alot of lagging,battery issues. many of the said they had android 1.5-1.6 version & that maybe version 2.0 of android would fix the problem. the hero & eris i would be buying would in fact have the updated 2.0 version. but i have also been looking into a blackberry curve. many good things ive been told of blackberrys. but i am def a big nerd & techy so i am thinking the blackberry wouldnt be as much fun. blackberrys seem to be more simple & business minded. so what im getting at is, does anyone have an opinion on which phone would be best to buy? decisions,decisions,decisions. i hate them sometimes. ahhhh. lol. thanks in advance.
