If I get a 500 mins contract directly from O2, I'll get a free 8900 but I can get the same O2 contract from phones4u and get a free 9700 for the same price.
The only thing I won't get is the unlimited O2 to O2 calls.
As I understand the main difference is that the 9700 has 3G. I never had a phone with 3G before so I don't know whether It's a useful feature for me or not. I know it'll drain your battery very quickly and that's a big disadvantage for me. But Would I really need a 3G phone if I use it for moderate browsing, and social networking??
And as far as I know, both phone have GPS, which is one of the main reasons I've decided to go for a blackberry. would the lack of 3G affect the use of this feature in any way?
Basically what I want to know is whether or not getting the Bold is worth missing out on unlimited O2 to O2 calls (which I consider a good bonus as a lot of my friends are on O2)??
