Blackberry curve 8520 troubles?

So i got a new blackberry curve 8520 on friday on vodafone, im having trouble creating a blackberry email or even using my normal email on it, also i cannot download the blackberry app world as it says my phone does not meet system requirements but ive seen others with the same phone with this app, can anybody help please
