blackberry curve 8330 texting viewing problem help!!!!!!!!?

ok so here is the problem it say i have a text when i go to the messages it say no messages but i do have one the only way i can see it is if i push the lil blackberry button next to the ball and scroll all the way down to view folder click it then go to SMS inbox just to see them ok now what i want is to have it back the old way where i don't have to do that ever time where when i go to messages i can see my sent and received messages already there so i need help
