Blackberry Curve 8330 internet is not working?

(Verizon Wireless) My browser says that there are no Browser Configuration Service Book Entries. I do not have an app to set-up email, I've tried going into the host routing table and registering it, the browser still does not work. I've tried hooking it up to Blackberry Desktop software but the software won't recognize the phone. Please help!
