Blackberry Bold 9700 150 MB data plan?

I just ordered my first blackberry. (white) I got a 200 minute, 2500 outgoing text, voicemail and caller id plan with 150 MB data. I'm very confused with how the data and BBM stuff works so if someone could clear it up that would be great. Whats the difference between wifi/data? Does BBM still take up the data plan? Whats so good about it then? I don't know how much I will be using my blackberry for internet and email. Maybe I will download msn and check my email. Nothing too drastic, so hopefully 150 MB will be enough. Any thoughts about the phone/plan/data would be appreciated. I'm on the Rogers network
