I have a Blackberry Bold 9000 phone. I love it and there have really been no problems until Sunday night when....
....I dropped it in the toilet. UGH!
Now it works like crap (sorry...bad pun). It's actually OK overall. I immediately pulled out the battery, used a hair dryer on low heat to dry it out some, let it sit until this afternoon (Tuesday), and tried it out. There are three small problems with it.
1) The speaker is broken. There's no more sound or ring tone.
2) The delete button did not work. Now that works, but the "p" does not work.
3) There's a small watermark on the bottom of the screen.
I guess I can live with #1 (I usually have it on vibrate anyway) and #3. My only question is about #2. I guess I have to get the whole motherboard replaced. My only problem with doing that is that I have one from Taiwan, which has the ability to write Chinese characters. I assume if I replace the motherboard, I will be fine with that since I'll just have to install the Chinese Language using desktop manager?
I'm back in America at the end of the month for a visit, so I can live without it for a few weeks. Just wondering where to get one, even online, and whether that would be the best route to fixing it.
