Blackberry bes express server integratation questions.

If you get the official cricket blackberry can you run and use your own bes express server or do you have to use the cricket provided interface only?


More important can I convert to my own bes server if my business grows or do I have to switch providers.
 
There is no way then to do bes than? I thought you bes was somewhat integrated into the device config and once setup to talk to the bes server it would do so. Isn't bes just the private version of bis? Or am I completely wrong? I don't know very much about blackberrys.
