Blackberry and Firstclass email server?

I just got a blackberry, and have it synched with my First Class email for school. Whenever I log onto First Class from my laptop however, it shows me under the 'who's online' tab twice, both times italicized. Nobody else seems to have this problem, and one friend (also with a blackberry) hazarded a guess that this just eventually goes away. Any insights?
