blackberry 8520 wifi without data plan tmobile?

so i purchased blackberry 8520 without data plan meaning bought the phone full price, and i was wondering if i could use wifi for free... it says im connected to wifi but when i try to browse webpages, they tell me to purchase a data plan... please help! thanks in advance.
 
1) take your battery out without switching ur phone off.!!
2) go to manage connection--> set up wifi--> follow the steps.
3)go to options-->advanced option-->browser--> make all of them hotspot browser.
go to option-->security option--> firewall--> check if it is turned off...other wise turn it off...

then check that can you accss internet....n yes , be in range while accessing the internet...

if this doesnt help...

call to blackberry call centre...tell your model no. and question to them they will sort this out...

you can ask your mobile provider for the no. of your location....
