My new T-5 froze about a week ago...worked sporadically for about a week but now does not come on at all. Neither soft nor hard resets do the trick. Tried w/ the adapter plugged and not plugged in.

nothing out of the ordinary happened to it (dropped, etc).

any advice would be much appreciated.
 
Send it back to Palm for exchange. There's an obvious hardware fault but it could be any of several problems, none of which you can fix on your own.
 
The "getting warm" test isn't too reliable. If you have a voltmeter, test the tip to see if there's voltage. If there's no voltage, the AC adapter might be bad. A bad AC adaptor doesn't really explain your other symptoms though so I'd still exchange it for a new one.
