The main ones I know of are Burzum, Mayhem, Immortal, Emperor, Darkthrone, Old Man's Child, Wolves in the Throne Room, Bathory, 1349, Gorgoroth, and Venom. What are some other good ones?

nah, actually the only band I can add to that list is Satyricon, pick up Nemesis Divina or The Shadow Throne, both are bad ass.

Oh yeah, forgot Behemoth, all though they are more blackened death metal now.
