Black Harvard Professor arrested for breaking into his own home. A lot of people...

...complaining but isn't it good? Are you guys worried about all the people complaining about Police arrested a black Harvard Professor? I worry that if we don't give police more power to arrest black people, especially educated black people who tries to break into their own homes, we would become a nation of anarchists.?

right? People, even professors should learn to respect the Police. Who risks their lives for us everyday and keeps our nation safe from terrorists and evil doers.

Breaking into your own home is the most under-reported crime in the US. It's unbelievable that this stuff is still going on. I'm just glad the police are finally cracking down. I say use deadly force!

I agree with the two concepts you appear to present: (1) Everyone is subject to the laws, and everyone should be subject to arrest equal to everyone else, and (2) the police should be free to make arrests and file charges against any person they believe committed a crime without fear of political cries of racism that have no merit.

That being said, I recognize that police departments and prosecutors do sometimes give a break to people who could cause harm to the police department (such as local wealthy people who pay lots of taxes and donate to local city council campaigns). I also recognize that, at times, there is true racism, or other unfair treatment toward an individual, and this should be addressed any time it comes up. However, such incidents should be reserved for where true evidence of racism exists. In my line of work, I have been accused of racism many times, and often the accuser simply does not see the whole story that clearly demonstrates I am not picking on them, or they are attempting to influence my decision-making process. Sometimes they're simply mad that I'm enforcing a rule, and without anywhere to go with it, they start with the racism allegations. Oh well... unfortunately they hurt their cause.
