black ghost knife fish wont eat?

ive had a black ghost knife fish for 4 day now and haven't seen it eat any thing ive tried flake food and frozen brine shrimp and blood worms ive even tried placing it right inside the areas its hiding inside so the other fish dont get to it so fast and it wont touch it any ideas what going on i know there a shy fish but you would think its got to eat sometime its in a 55gallon tank by the way
 
Black ghost knife fishes readily eat small live foods go but some small feeder guppies and put them in there . Larger ghosts graduate to guppies, rosy reds, small goldfish, and earthworms. Most will convert to frozen foods. I’ve never heard of any of them eating flakes. They prefer the night so you may not see him eat and you may want to turn off the light when you feed it.
