Black Berry plans

Basically the $30 plan is for basic email needs and data as well.

The $45 is for everything email such as for corporate exchange system.

Is there a usage limit? Some reps say both are unlimited, others say the $30 plan has a 10mb limit, still others say the $30 has a 5GB limit, and yet again others say the unlimited has a 5GB limit.

So both the $30 and $45 plan are limited to 5GB  (much better than the 10mb that some told me, but throws out the binge downloading)

But as far as checking my hotmail (yahoo, gmail, etc) accounts and surfing the web it sounds like I would be better off saving the $15 since I don't need all the corporate exchange system stuff.

Hi, we need to make a small correction to this.

Blackberry Data Plans Explained:

29.99 Consumer Personal Email and Web

Allows up to 10 email accounts.
Unlimited Usage on internet via the blackberry. (no 5gb limit).

44.99 Business Data Plan

same as personal above but also allows the use of the enterprise exchange service. (Enterprise Activatation)

24.99 Business Data Plan

10mb usage of internet with blackberry.

***note*** IF you use the Broadband Access Connect Service ($15/$30) this is what will allow you use to your blackberry as a modem. You get a seperate data plan basically that allows you up to 5GB of usage while using your phone as a tethering device to allow a internet connection on a laptop or desktop computer.

Hope this clears up some the data plans.

I don't even see an option for a $25 plan on their website. I dont need their BES services, I just want my email and to surf the web without having to worry about racking up extra charges. 10mb goes quite quickly just surfing the web let alone downloading attachments.

Hi Ellen, this part of the TOS is referring to services such as broadband access for the PC. The blackberry data plans are not mentioned here. THe plans specificlly for the phones; 44.99 or 29.99 is unlimited usage and is marketed as such. It is HIGHLY unlikely that someone would use anywhere near 5GB from a cell phone internet browser, but the data plans are unlimited. Please see this page. Business Voice and Data Plans and look at the different data plans about halfway down the page, and notice it does state unlimited.

I hope this clears up any confusion.
