black and white ceiling, yellow walls, paint splats, too bright?

ok, im going to paint my room soon , i want bright yellow walls , a black and white checked ceiling , bright paint splats in random colours , then im going to stick posters everywhere . im just thinking , will it be too much, like really bright? my room is dark coz its in the attic so it will brighten it up, but will it be "loud" << like , give me headaches?? (:
