Everytime I go to the cinema recently there has been the most bizarre advert for Virgin media and i am trying to work out what on earth it is all about and if the writer of it was on something!! It involves a computer animated Mick Hucknell being taken to a clinic and being introduced to a big german nurse who explains about Virgin Media catch up service. Mick is then lead away and the German nurse whips off her mask to reveal Richard Branson! What the hell is this all about? The more I see it the more i dont get what the idea is. Why Mick hucknell? Why a clinic? Why is Richard Branson dressed as a German nurse?? Its absolutely bonkers!!

I don't get it either, it is a little bizarre. The only bit that gets a reaction is when she pulls the mask off at the end and it's Branson. But it's just weird, with Hucknall just saying 'the names Hucknall'

I guess they're trying to say that Mick Hucknall has faded from the public eye a bit and is seen as a hasbeen. It's a send-up of beauty treatment and the botox culture. You think for a moment they're going to laser the bejeesus out of Hucknall but the alternative is just the ability to "catch up" with the world but keeping up to date with tv.

It's advertising Catch-up Tv, so I guess the idea is that you can relive tv moments over and over again in the same way many celebrities may wish they could relive their careers.

The german nurse did terrify me the first time I saw the advert though
