Bite coming to BEV in September

Bite channel will be added to Bell Express Vu in september

It would be part of Variety 3 or Pot pourri for clients with the "old package"

It would be channel 530

No info as if there would be a free preview
 
Guess I've not been paying attention, but what is BITE?
Is their a link to the type of programing this channel offers, s.v.p.
 
I have deleted a bunch of trolling posts whose only comments were that this channel sucked etc.

Like many of you, I am not interested in this channel but some folks are so please, if you don't want to watch the channel and aren't interested, then just avoid this thread.

This thread is for those that are interested in the channel to discuss.
 
While it's nice to see BEV adding new channels, I'd much prefer to see Showcase HD, or National Geographic HD being added.

Oh well. Maybe I'll send a clip to Bite TV complaining about that very thing?
 
Is there anybody who currently receives that channel throught another provider or did receive it in the past? I would like to hear those people's comments...

What type of show do they play on that channel?
Do you think that removing Muck Loud and Much More Retro to replace it by Military channel and Bite makes it a good deal?
 
I know my retired dad enjoys Military TV and is one of his favorite channels.
Bite TV looks like "youtube, the Canadian content channel" to me.
I have never seen MuchLOUD or MMRetro to make a comment.
 
You Tube is very popular on the net...I guess that the channel will be then. Maybe not with Digital Home users...

Bite TVs target audience is men aged 18 to 34. I'm a little older than that so I guess that is why I'd still prefer having MuchMoreRetro. I must still be stuck in the 80s :)
 
Since you ask ... no. Bite is, remarkably, even a more useless channel than PunchMuch. And as for the US propaganda Military Channel ... don't get me started. Much More Retro is leagues above all of these and a definite loss which filled the needs of a unique audience.

And, not to be too churlish, none of this makes room for genuinely useful programming like something in HD.



That's the target. Viewership is numbered in the 100s nationally. Bet $100 it can't even be measured by the usual firms like BBM.
 
I prefer MuchMoreRetro to to BiteTV. BiteTV seems to be aimed at a young audience (I would guess 16-25 from the site.) The Much Channels have lost a lot of their appeal in recent years as well. I would prefer TCM, MMOR-HD and ShowcaseHD to any Much channel or BiteTV. (You could say BiteTV bites. :D)
 
MMRetro is a huge loss, especially when seeing the addition of BITE. The BITE target audience is much more likely to be surfing the content on YouTube and Crackbooking than watching BITE. No way would I take that bet, you'll most certainly win...
 
Thats part of the reason I left BEV.

Now you got to remember I was a sub from May 1999 to Jan 2007 almost 8 years. I also had many receivers

PQ wasn't a problem as I had all thre BEV,SC and Rogers and PQ varied from service to service.

But a incident with sympatico and Bell home phone pushed me to the limited. As I was going to switch to Rogers Internet and Phone and I said why not switch everything to rogers.

In return I got no more rain fade, more specialty channels.BEV at the time didn't have BITE,military.

So they getting a few but are loosing Much Load & MuchRetro.


If you look at the line up between Rogers and BEV here's what Rogers isn't Carring after Sept. that BEV is.

I don't recall if there are anymore, perhaps a few HD Sports.

I know I made the right decession to switch. True it might cost me abit more but well worth it. Though I do wish Rogers Ottawa would add A-Channel Barrie so when the SENs are playing on Thursday nights you don't loose A-channel programing
