Birthday Present fish?

next week is my friends birthday and we have been friends for a long time. shes turning 16 and when she was like 7 i got her a fish for her b-day and so i was thinking of getting her another fish(the other one died a bit ago) but her mother is a bit concerned because of time management. not having time. so is there a fish that takes very minimal time or does anyone have any other ideas as to what to get her. i wanted it to be something special and personalized
 
a beta fish. or you could just get her a normal guppie or cheap fish and write a note like "you dont have to put much time in this fish, its not a big deal if you dont take care of it. i dont want it to take too much of your time up"
