Anybody just watch this?

http://imdb.com/title/tt0337876/

A woman (Nicole Kidman) becomes convinced that a ten year old boy is the reincarnation of her dead husband.

Just watched it and was blown away. (Surprising for a Nicole Kidman film). Directed by the guy who did Sexy Beast with Ray Winstone.

One of those films that kinda leaves you guessing, you can take it one way or the other, a bit like a David Lynch type movie. I'm amazed I've never heard of it before. Just noticed it on, read the synopsis on TV and thought 'Kidman sucks, but I'm bored and I'll give it a shot'. Loved it.

Definitely worth a download or rent or whatever.

I'm interested in other people opinion of whether Shaun was actually the reincarnation or not. I'm leaning towarRAB yes, although reading a bit on imdb I can see how it could go either way and it's how you want to interpret it.

I watched this and then watched Sexy Beast after it!
Thought it was a good movie and for once I thought Kidman turned in an excellent performance as I dont actually rate her as an actress.

With a 10yr old yeah, not her son or anything.

Kidman looked good in it yeah, I don't normally find her that attractive but she gets athumbs up in this movie from me.

Didn't realise it was on TV recently, but funnily enough I, er, "acquired" it about a week ago and watched it two days ago. I absolutely loved it. I'm not that keen on Nicole Kidman either, but the look she had and the performance she gave (witness the infamous "close up" shot in the theatre for an example) surprised me.

The kid who played Sean was also great, and despite my initial resistence to the characters (a load of unsympathetic rich people) I gave in as the story became more and more compelling.

As for whether he was the real Sean or not... I tend to think not now (bloody IMDb). I think he just had an overactive imagination and convinced himself that he was the reincarnation, and Kidman's character was fragile enough to convinced herself as well.

There was one point where I actually wanted it to be the dead Sean, during the second bath scene when he holRAB back on revealing the affair with Clara. That was pretty heartbreaking, and would have been even more dramatic had he been the dead Sean.

Didn't do very well commercially at the time... Makes it even more likeable.

Nah, me neither! Quite p***ed off i stayed up to watch it. looked good to start with then lost it's way, not one likeable character in it. Sorry!:p

Bizarrely I'm a big Kidman fan and whilst I thought all of the performances were excellent, especially Kidman and Bacall, this film was very uncomfortable viewing and left me cold especially the scene in the bath.
