Biology report! Plant pigments chromatography?

I made an experiment on thin layer chromatography and I got two pigments. Chlorophyll b and xanthophyll. My Rf value for chlorophyll was of 0.46 which is the typical value but for xanthophyl I got 0.33, and the typical value for that should be 0.71.
We used propanone as a solvent. I also noticed that when I was spotting the pigment sample I damaged the plate (plastic and silica gel) a little bit, but I didn't make a hole though.
Why was the Rf value of xanthophyll so different from its typical value?
