Biology Question on DNA...?

3.A camper is caught by authorities frying a fish that is believed to be out of season. Luckily, a piece of fish has yet to be subjected to the barbecue. The authorities want to ensure that this piece of fish is definitely the type of fish in question. DNA fingerprinting is conducted on the fish using restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis. The gel patterns are shown in the figure below. Explain whether or not the investigation should continue given this evidence.


there is a picture that goes with it, but the fish out of season is like the exact opposite to the camper's fish.....it's not the same, it's different, but anyone have a detailed explanation ?
