A dialysis bag which contains starch solution is placed in a container filled with water and iodine. Iodine moves into the dialysis bag and so does water. So how would I explain the contents in the dialysis bag, is it hypotonic to the surrounding fluid or hypertonic or isotonic? Please don’t give me definitions of these terms I know what they mean! The situation just doesn’t make sense because water is moving into the bad which indicated the bag’s contents are hypertonic and yet iodine moves in which indicates something else? SO confused please help!!
