Oxidative phosphorylation could not occur without glycolysis and the citric acid cycle, because _____.

a. these two stages provide the oxygen used as the final electron acceptor
b. the electron transport chain requires the ATP produced during the first two stages
c. these two stages provide the water that is split during oxidative phosphorylation
d. these two stages supply the electrons needed for the electron transport chain

so what i know for sure is that the first to stages ( glycolysis and kerbs cycle) supply the third stage (oxidative phosphorylation) with the electrons it needs. but i dont know how to put that into the correct wording. so which one will be right?
