You have been doing experiments with fruit flies. One day, you realize that one of your two temperature chambers has malfunctioned and the flies have been kept at 2oC warmer than normal. The reason you notice this is that these flies are still alive, when they should have already died. You wonder if the temperature has had an effect on the lifespan of these flies. Write out the steps of the scientific method, devise a hypothesis, and design a simple experiment to test your hypothesis. Don’t forget to include how you would analyze your results!
