Ok so I did a biology experiment on osmosis the other day, putting potatoes into different concentrations of salt. The mass of the potatoes kept going lower and lower the more concentrated the solution got, but once it hit 10% NaCl, it started losing less. At 5% it lost 24% in weight, but at 10% it lost 12% in weight.
Anyone know why?
Sorry - we cut 2cm cylinders with a corker from the same potato. We cut 12 cylinders, then had 2 in each beaker of differing solutions of NaCl
