1. Speed of diffusion across a differentially permeable membrane depends on the difference between the number of collisions on either side of the membrane.
2. For the same size and mass, ions diffuse through the cell membrane faster than uncharged particles.
For the first one, I'm thinking that it's false and should be dependent on the concentration gradient instead.
I have no clue about the second one though. Anyone want to enlighten me?
