Hi!
I quit smoking 6 months ago, and in a health move and something I enjoy I started road biking and mountain biking pretty heavily...after months of slowly building up, I have been doing a minimum of 40 miles a week and even up to as much as 100 miles a week. When I first started riding, my weight dropped slightly.
But in the last two months my weight has began to climb. I am 5'8" and did weigh 140 pounds. I am up to 152 after 2 months of steady climbing.
My diet has increased some with the increased miles. But not out of proportion to what I am doing. I rarely have fast-food or sugary foods other than my daily pop tarts : P
I have (and prior to riding) been consuming a lot of carbs and that has stayed consistent as well. My daily intake is ALMOST ALWAYS less than 1700 calories...and really probably closer to 1400 calories on a daily basis...yeah I don't eat much.
Any info would be awesome or personal experiences!
Thanks a lot!
