Hello, I am interviewing for a sales position at a large and successful bike shop in a few days (Trek dealer). I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips for me? I know the job is draw commission based, but besides that is there anyone out there who is in a similar job and if so do you have any tips/advice for me in regards of what to expect?

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this and respond.

You better know what the hell you're doing or you are going to starve since you're on commission! Dont force anything on the customer that they do not need. Ask pointed questions about ridding habits and style and how long they will ride and where they will ride and what type of terrain and then match them to the best possible bike that they need the first time. If you cant do that properly everytime then you will get hit with returns that will hit your pocket and not afford you the opportunity of a referal from that customer....Sell yourself first, then sell the product second. Build a relationship with each and every customer first and foremost.
