ok i went to the car boot this morning. And i saw this bike its was a shockwave sus 450 in red looked very nice. i took it for a little ride and i thought i like it. so i got it for £20 not bad. took it in the garden and did my own little service and i noticed that the front tyre had a puncture and the brakes were a bit iffy and keep catching. so i thought i would take it to a shop to get it serviced at any cost the full servie is £70. but does anybody think it is worth it the rest of the bike is really good a bit of rust but i have got that off i really like it and would be great for the summer and other months.

Better to service the bike yourself, buy new brake pads at the shop (bring the bike in so you get the right kind). It is important that you know how to do minor bike repairs so you don't get stuck far from home with an otherwise fixable problem like flat tire, broken spoke etc. The late Sheldon Brown is the best advice for cycle repairs.
