Misunderstood Romulan

I recently spoke to several bike shop employees all working for the same bicycle shop chain (most snobbish) and wanted to know if a coaster break can be installed on either the 2009 Mongoose Supergoose BMX or the 2009 Mongoose Sabrosa Single Speed?
The BMX has V breaks and are of no loss to have them removed; The Sabrosa has Disc breaks that I would like to keep if possible in combination with retrofitting a coaster break, otherwise I am happy to trash it.
Any suggestions? The buying process has been hampered with unhelpful and often pointless information online which seems to defy common sense.
I had one employee at a shop tell me that he could put on a Coaster brake and another one tell me its not possible because of spoke issues.
I also plan on buying it new and having everything done by them.
