Bike has been stolen?

my bike has just been stolen in the UK, it was in an unlocked porchway at the front of a library, it was not tied up and only took my eye of it for around 3 minutes, what rights will i have with police and with the home insurance, will they give you the money for the bike because it wasn't locked up
