The v type brake doesnt give any spring back tension the spring rods have gone and now its just the arms and rest of v type brake unit but cant do nothing without these rods cant seem to buy them anywhere not buying new brakes for two wires
Can these rods be made out of wire then coat hanger wire
 
Theres no harm i trying, it seems a sensible idea.
Why not try it and see if it works.
