bicycle trailer on a full carbon bike?

we are planning on going to santa cruz in september and two of us have carbon fiber bikes. and we want to put a bob yak trailer on one of the bikes would it be a good idea or will it mess up the frame. the trailer is going to be atached to the axle of the back wheel. can i get some opinions
