Bicycle repair question?

Yesterday, when I was riding my bike, my back tire got wobbly, and I notice that the back tire is loose from its frame. I also found out that the bolt is loosening up, so Im assuming that is why my back tire is wobbly and loose.

Today, I tried to fix it by tightening the bolt on the left side of the tire, the side that doesnt have the chains. I tightened it as much as I can, even until the point where I coudnt even pedal anymore, but for some reason, the tire is still wobbly.

So can anybody help me with this? Also I cant afford to go get it fixed at a professional shop.

To be honest, if you don't know what you're doing you can't afford NOT to have it fixed at a shop. The odds are you'll just make it worse.

It sounds like your axle needs to be fixed/replaced. Most bike shops will look at your bike & give you a free estimate. Once they tell you the actual problem, you can decide if you want to pay them or try to do it yourself. Bike shops can't compete with Walmart & the net for prices, so they have to make you happy with quality products & great service.

Proper care will give you many more years of service from your bike. Saving a few bucks now can cost a lot more later.
