I've only owned road bikes before, but would like to get something for the trails near my house.
The trails are fairly smooth, no mud, so don't need a heavy-duty mountain bike, but there's a lot of gravel in some places. I'll still do some road biking with it, but nothing serious. I assume I want a hybrid, but other suggestions welcome.
Advice on brands/models? Even looking at just the Trek site, I'm overwhelmed by the choices. Will be biking several hours at a stretch, so comfort is good. Don't want to spend much over $700 unless really worth it.
