I am 450 lbs and i am in the process of changing my life around for the better. Nope I haven't had weight loss surgery i am doing this by diet and exercise unfortunately for me being so big i am limited on what i can do. Right now my exercise routine consists of going for a walk 20-30 minutes a day, or i go swimming for a hour of so, i also use the exercise bike but its rather boring just staying in one place and i want to do more outside with the beautiful weather just around the corner.

I am looking for a bike that can hold my weight and not crumble i did a online search and only found 1 site that has such bikes and its upwards of 2,000 which i cant afford. i am not looking for a major professional bike just something i can ride around my town and in the parks and such no off roading or anything. PLEASE HELP

First, I applaud you on your efforts. I also used to weigh almost 400 pounds and I know how difficult it can be to lose those excess pounds. I first want to ask if you have cleared your plans with a doctor? At 450 pounds, you should be concerned about any health problems you could have by increasing your activity to something physically demanding, like riding a bike. The very last thing you want is to have a health emergency while you are out on your own without help close by. While biking around the community sounds fun, I found it difficult when I first started losing weight. Of course, if your doctor clears it and you have your heart set on it, I would go for it, although the expense is considerable. I wouldn't let that stop me. Instead, do research on other forms of exercise that you can do for now. I have found water aerobics to be fun and a class full of other people with the same goal as you have will give you the motivation to keep going. You could get a bike now. Or, you could do something else until you have lost enough weight to ride a regular bike. Maybe, you could even make riding a regular bike your weight loss goal. That would give you motivation to keep going, now wouldn't it????

Sorry I don't know but,I wanna congratulate you on wanting to do it on your own.Instead of taking the easy way out.I wish you luck.I hope you get down to the size you want.Dont give up.You'll make it just think of the income.
