Bicycle flat tire on front or back - which is better?

So my bike's front tire is flat and I can't replace it right now. Too many leaks to hold air.

It's really hard to pedal, it goes really slow, and it's really bumpy. The back wheel is fine, though.

So my question is, would it be any easier for me if I switched the two wheels? Have the front tire be fully pumped and my back be flat?

i have ridden short distances with flats on either side. if in front you it is very hard to maintain proper steering ( i was going down a steep hill when this occurred), if you have a flat in the back try to ride in a partial standing position, transferring some of your body weight to the front, put as much weight as possible on the handle bars and pump those legs. replace the tube as soon as possible.-blurey

it'll be harder to ride w/ the back tire flat, thats where most of your weigh goes - your seat and crank is closer to the back, keep the flat on the front - just do a wheelie

If you cant afford $10 for a new tire and tube you need to park it and walk. You are also ruining the rim so it's going to cost you more. I hope your are just kidding about this.

No, it would be tougher. You really can't ride this way. If you must, you can stuff the front tire full of grass clippings, leaves, etc. to help in an emergency.
Another method is to remove the valve stem from your front tube and fill it full of "great stuff", that expanding foam insulation that comes in a red can.
Of course, you can find a new tube cheaper than a can of that, though.

the sprocket is attached to the rear wheel, so i dont think it would move at all if you rotate, and it only cost $3 for a tube for a tire, get a cup sit on the corner in some dirty clothes
