Hi
I recently snapped my bicycle chain while climbing a very steep hill. I ordered a new chain online hoping it would come before tomorrow, ready for the next week. It didn't come so instead I took the broken link out of the chain I snapped and then fitted it to my bike. I was just wondering as this is the incorrect chain length, (because it is minus one link) can it cause damage to any part of my bike, like the cassette or derailleur? I will only be riding this fix for one week and just need to know by doing it will it damage my bike.
If it helps I am doing this on a Specialized P2 CROMO 09
Thank you very much
Andrew
