Bible verse about preaching the word of Jesus while carrying a sword?

I remember once reading a verse out of the King James bible where I believe Jesus tells Peter (maybe a different disciple) that he should go and preach the word of Jesus but always carry a sword to defend himself. I believe the verse was in the 2nd book of Peter but I might be mistaken. If anybody happens to know the verse I'm talking about, I would really appreciate it
