My BF plans to try out for drillteam in 2 weeks. He's been working really hard in clinic and I don't want him to be disappointed. Here's the thing: he'll almost certainly be the only guy trying out. They have all these uniform rules, everybody has to carry pompoms and do the same routines, etc. He's got long hair, to his shoulders, and he'll probly have to wear it in a high ponytail. (Who knows what they'll do about the uniform if he makes the squad!!) Anyway I'm wondering if other guys, or their GFs, have been through this? Any tips for being the only guy in tryouts? Should he go ahead and wear his hair up like the girls (I'm afraid if he doesn't they won't let him try out)? How can I encourage him to go ahead & do his best?
