I purchased a LG DVD-VCR 837 combo the other day. The codes in my BEV 6100 manual do not include anything for LG. Goldstar and Zenith codes that are listed in the manual don't seem to work, either.

I'd like to be able to record from the 6100 using the easy-recording feature that it offers. Any ideas?

It'd be good if you listed all your equipment and everything that you're trying to accomplish, since you asked a different, but related, question in a previous thread.

Some DVD recorders have a signal sensor, which detects when a signal arrives at the input, but I'm not sure if that's compatible with the BEV 6100 and whether the 6100 sends a signal even when off.

Good luck
The remotes don't seem to like combo devices (TV/VCR, DVD/VCR)
You can do a random code search, and that may work, but I doubt it

If it doesn't work what you can do is take you DVD-VCR remote, set a timer to record channel 03 selecting the hours at which you would like to record. then set the timer in the Express Vu. A bit longr but it would work...

If you change channels while recording you will record what is on th channel you are watching. You can not watch a channel and record another one.

You can use Channel 3 if you are recording via RF-coaxial cable (which is the worst PQ and mono sound), however, when using S-video or composite video (and analogue audio for stereo sound), then you don't select channel 3, but rather the appropriate input - the operating manual should tell you - often it's channel zero, or AV1 input or something like that.

I can't recall what outputs are available on the various BeV STBs.
