Just read an article about them releasing a DVD with clips of Betty White, and it got me thinking what a great lady she is.

Loved her in The Golden Girls, and she has been in quite a few films since. Hard to believe she's in her 80's and still going strong.

She's an inspiration.
 
I loved all of the Golden Girls, it was a great show - hard to believe the others are all dead now. :cry: But yes, Betty White is a terrific actress - and I'm happy to contribute to her appreciation thread. :)
 
I love Betty to bits. Her stories at the table in Golden Girls were comedy gold. Interesting to note that she was originally hired to play Blanche but the role was too close to her role in the Mary Tyler Moore show so she and Rue swapped roles. Congrats also to Betty for her Emmy win for her performance as host of Saturday Night Live (if you havent seen it, search online).
For lovers of the Golden Girls - get Maude on DVD. Ran for years on american tv and starred Bea Arthur (with Rue as her neighbour)
 
Her cameo on ugly betty was legendary!! That remix video of her being attacked by wilhemena is so funny it still brings tears to my eyes :D
 
She was hono(u)red by the Screen Actors Guild for a lifetime achievement award a few months ago, here is the youtube clip of it and it shows several minutes of her screen history going back 50 years. It really is a treat to watch for those who are interested..
