I am thinking about getting a motorcycle, but am very new to the motor sport world. I have done some research, and I really like the Honda CBR250R for its looks and price, but I have heard so many good things about the Ninja 250R. Which bike would you recommend for someone who is very new to motorcycles? Please give as much specification, sources, and factual information as you can! Thank you!

Well, lets look at the factual differences. The Ninja is 25 hp. Turns 10,500 rpm at 70mph. Epa rated at 61 mpg. Has a service life of 50,000 miles. The Honda is 24.5 hp. Turns 7,500 at 70 mph. Epa rated at 80 mpg. Has a service life of 100,000 miles. The honda has faster 0-30 and 0-60mph times. The ninja has a faster 1/4 mile time. The Ninja is Carburated. The Honda is fuel injected. The Honda also has an internal counter balancer and runs much smoother. Top speed on Ninja is 110mph. Top speed on Honda is 103 mph. Both are well above speed limits. The Honda has longer intervals between valve adjustments.

I have been into motorcycles for 23 years I would recommend a Honda here the reasons. A Honda 250 is more forgiving bike. As in if u go into a turn let's say to fast and it started to lose it's grip or you make a mistake the Honda suspension is more forgiving then a ninja a ninja does not have such forgiving characteristics. What I mean by this is if you make a mistake on a ninja it is gonna stay with that mistake more then a Honda Honda will let that little mistake subside. Also hondas are more reliable then kawi is plus Honda has a better resell value then any other bikes out there. I would go with a Honda 250 great starter bike a few things also ALWAYS remember if you don't keep you're line in a turn don't hit the breaks push you're handle bar towards the ground and give it more gas it sound crazy but it's true if you hit the brakes the bike will lift up out of a turn in a turn if you give it gas it will stay towards the ground and suck you back into the turn and keep you out of the other lane. Welcome to the motorcycle world and always watch other cars every time I ride I nhve a R1 I can't stress enough drivers don't pay attention. Sorry a little of subject but just giving good advice hope this help go with Honda and you won't regret it.
